Where do I begin with this book? All I know is that it’s a must have for anyone interested in healthy hair care. It’s the ultimate solution to all of your hair problems. Once you begin reading, it’s very hard to stop. I was up reading and highlighting in the middle of the night. Yes it’s that serious! You may think you know everything there is to know about hair, but I’m sure The Science of Black Hair will change your perspective. You will have a lot of aha moments while reading; I know I did. As you read, you will begin to understand why your hair looks and feels a certain way, why your hair isn't growing past shoulder length, how products complement each other to aid in healthy hair, how our hair reacts to certain ingredients, why technique is important, etc. She answers all of these questions by giving us an in depth look at the structure and characteristics of our hair, porosity, Ph balance, protein and moisture balance, and more. It even has a regimen builder along with product suggestions and an ingredient glossary. How amazing is that! Everything you ever wanted to know is in this book. It’s a great investment. Besides it saves you time from searching the Internet and watching countless YouTube videos. Did I mention that Aubrey created a channel to complement the book? Check it out @ScienceofBlackHair. If you don’t have it already, purchase this book. It’s the real deal. The Kindle edition is $9.99 and the regular list price is $24.95, but you may be able to find it cheaper. I really enjoyed The Science of Black Hair, and you will too. Check out her website http://www.blackhairscience.com/ as well.
